Columbian President Declares Match Day Public Holiday

Columbian President Juan Manuel Santos has declared today, Friday July 4th, a public holiday, as an attempt to gain as much support as possible for Columbia’s first ever World Cup quarterfinal. All workers are permitted to go home at 1:00pm local time in order to prepare for the face-off.

Columbia’s highly successful World Cup campaign will be tested vs Brazil at 22:00 (CET) or 17:00 (UTC)
